So blessed.

These past three months and ten days  have been the most joyful and exhausting days of my life and I'm positive my dear Mr. Riley would agree with me. Full of laughter, hard work, late nights, spit up, endless laundry, dirty diapers, smiles, tears (from both me and baby) and non stop pure joy..

I've always wanted to be a young mom. Even since I could remember... I was the little girl that had a baby doll every time I went out pretending it was my real life baby. Now here I am years later holding a sweet blessing that God had planned for me since the beginning of time.

What really continues to amaze me is I was meant to be the Mother to Evelynne. Out of all the other women in the world God hand picked me to be the one to rock her before she sleeps, to read to her and pray for her, to teach her who she is in Christ and reminding her each and every day how much she is loved. Why did He pick me for such a task.. At the moment, I have no idea. I'm kinda reminded of Mother Teresa 's quote

"I know God will not give me anything I can't handle. I just wish that He didn't trust me so much."

Nothing could have prepared me to be a mom. Advice, Parenting Magazine's, Super mom's. Nothing but the love of Jesus. It is physically and mentally the hardest job I have ever had because well, We're disciplining and raising a life here. But every time when I wake up in the morning exhausted somehow that little smile I am given when Evelynne sees her momma looking  at her. Everything just stands still and I thank God for His little smiles.

Being a mom has given me more understanding of learning to appreciate the little things in life. Little smiles, little footsies, little hands, little noses, every hair on her head, little ques and the joys of baby talk. Now the spit up I'm not to crazy about but she's so worth it!

We are so thankful to God to be entrusting this amazing daughter of ours.Being parents our understanding   of God's love for His children has deepened inside our hearts. Being a parent. There's just nothing like it!

How has your life changed since you became a mom? Preggers this is for you too! ;)

Girl we are so alike!! Like you, I was ALWAYS carrying around a baby doll when I was little. I always knew I was made to be a momma! Even now feeling her kicks and movements is so surreal. The fact that God would entrust me with this little life is so amazing! I'm so in awe of Him.

Completely. I went from a college senior to a mom in 3 weeks, never to be the same, and loving almost every minute of it; joy, exhaustion, fun, frustration, delight, anger, disappointment, peace, impatience, satisfaction, awe, pride, contentment, grandma.
