Breastfeeding tips!

Tips for Breastfeeding.
Hey lovelies! So I don't know if it was just me but when I first started to breastfeed.. It was horrible!
I came close to giving up many times just because I was under a lot of stress from lack of sleep, the massive life change, and being in pain every time I sneezed. But let me add in that I am so extremely glad I didn't give up. Breastfeeding my daughter is so special & brings such a special bond between us  (When shes not extremely grumpy that is)... So, now that I feel like a breastfeeding ninja, I thought I would share my secrets to getting through the first two weeks of breastfeeding. I hope it helps!

It's only two weeks.
1. Seriously the first two weeks are the hardest. It was awful and so painful for me the first two weeks. I would actually shed a tear every time because it hurt so bad. I constantly mumbled underneath my breath that "Pain is weakness leaving the body" Yea, for some reason that quote made me feel better! Anyways my point being. Try to remember that it's only two weeks of stress and the rest of the year it's bonding. Just keep saying to yourself "Only two weeks" Trust me if you can get through months of pregnancy, hours of labor, you can get through this!

Pray for her.
2. Instead of playing on your iphone, texting or watching TV while breastfeed. Try praying for her when your feeding. Your not only getting Spiritual time but your also praying for her spiritual growth. And breastfeeding for me while praying was much more calmer.

Do it right!
3. Make sure you're doing it right! Take a breast feeding class & while your at the hospital make sure you get a lot of help from the nurses to teach you the best way to do it.I also did utube searching so I could watch how other women did it.

Burp that baby!
4. Always make sure she/he burps. So they're not as fussy.

Give them girls a break.
5. Don't feel bad about taking a break. During the night or when your eating don't be afraid to let your husband feed her with the formula the hospital gave you every once in a while. At least until you are able to pump, which they recommend three weeks. Your girls need a break too, you know!

How did you get through breastfeeding?

Dearest Daughter..

A little life that grew inside of me is now sitting here in my arms.
A little girl God has trusted to me. To love and keep her from harm.

I've waited a long nine months and finally you're here at last!
And now I will hold and love you as long as I can because I've been told "They grow up fast".

I do admit I'm excited to see you grow.
Into a strong, godly and fearless lady that many will be glad to know.

Your Jesus loving spirit will shine and your sweet personality will glow.
And God will use you to light up the world and with you, Himself will show.

But until that time comes when God will use you for such a mighty thing.
I will continue to hold you tight you sweet daughter of The King.
                           HAPPY 2 MONTHS EVELYNNE!

Thoughts Fear & Fearlessness

Many have the understanding that fear is a normal emotion and fear is a emotion that is completely harmless and okay to have.  And because of that harmful understanding many are held captive by it. Many are deceived.

Scripture tells us plainly that fear is a straight up attack from the enemy himself.  He uses fear as a tool to separate us from our Mighty God. He uses fear to keep us from God's calling, to keep us from chasing our dreams, to be honest in all things, the fear of living the abundant life Christ died to give us, Even the fear to only believe.

The question is my friends, Why is the enemy so desperate to deceiving us into fearing him?
because the day we  realize who we really are in Christ  is the day satan himself becomes fearful of us!
The day we know our identity in Christ, seek His Abundant life, become fearless and stop at nothing,
the day we grow up as Christians and become His Mighty warriors is the day the enemy will fear us!
Because when we know the power of God living in us. He can teach us how to operate in it. And that terrifies him!
As a child I grew up as a very fearful little girl. I feared literally everything! You can read my testimony here.
I was a hostage to fear. A victim because I had no idea who I was in Christ  and I didn't know that I could choose to not have fear.

But this day I REFUSE to be a hostage, a victim to fear. My friend, I hope today you will join me. =)

I am off to a new journey seeking the Abundant life Christ died to give me. to experience and to live the very way Jesus intended me to live and to receive the very plans God has for me, and to live the calling Jesus spoke over my life even before I was born.  As the enemy seeks to whom he may steal, kill, and destroy. My uttermost desire is that I will get to that person before he does. With every doubt and every fear dead in my thoughts.  Who's with me?

Lets go way back in time for a bit to Genesis 3:8-9

And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden.
Then the Lord God called to Adam and said to him, “Where are you?
So he said, “I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself.”

Adam and Eve had the abundant life. I mean their biggest hobby was to  walk in the garden with God in the coolness of the evening.  But after they sinned Fear took place and they became afraid of God and hid from Him.

To this day God wants that life with you! He sent His only perfect Son to be crucified  so that He could have that kind of relationship with you. He wants to walk and talk with you in the garden. Are you hiding from Him?  What kind of fear is keeping you from Him today?  Maybe the fear and worry of not getting enough done during the day to take the time to settle down and talk to God? Or the fear of what people may think? Is fear hindering your relationship with God today?
And the Lord, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.” Deut 41:8

Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.” Deut31:6

Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’ Is 41:10
