Love keeps no records of wrongs

I just praise God everyday for the man He gave me to have and to hold. And everyday Leon does something that is a reminder of why I married this sweet man. Whether it's something romantic sweet, spiritual, or just so darn funny.  Yesterday for example. Leon was with me as I do my Sunday shopping.. Now I'll have you know that I am usually under the food budget, but today I was four dollars over. I honestly felt so discouraged as a wife because I didn't keep to the budget as I try so hard to do.. And as the cashier was making fun of my carelessness Leon replied "It's okay, because I don't love my wife based on her actions...My emotional status went from being discouraged to loved immediately.. How blessed am I to have a husband that doesn't love me for my actions! It takes a huge load off my chest.. In two months of marriage we have learned so much about each other. We have discovered each others pet peeves, and have even had a few disagreements. But in those two months of marriage along with premarital counseling. God has shown us and taught us how to love each other and to honor one another.  And God has given us the true definition of love in 1 Corinthians 13:4-8
 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.  Love never fails.

This is what love really is.. It's not something that can just happen in a day or even a million years.. But this kind of love is only something God can give!  This kind of love doesn't come and goes as it pleases, but it lasts forever.

 Leon and I don't love each other because of our actions, or looks, or talent's, or even fashion. We love each other because Jesus first loved us and taught us how to love one another..And yes, This love never fails.

Love is a shelter in a raging storm;
Love is a peace in a middle of a war,
and if we try to leave may God send angels to guard the door.
No, love is not a fight, but is something worth fighting for.
