Happy 21st Birthday to me!!

Season two of Downton Abbey!! I could cry!!
Hey friends! So, today is my 21st Birthday. Woot woot!  It's funny because a friend asked me today if I was going to have a drink since twenty one is kinda a big deal. But since the little person inside of me is not yet legal age. A nice glass of red wine is gonna have to wait! Today was a really good day though.. I woke up to the nice surprise of my Momma Riley decorating the whole house for such an occasion. And my wonderful mom and dad calling me. And my wonderful husband bought donuts!  And we ate at Hunan Rose. My favorite Chinese restaurant. And watched my favorite movie "Tangled!!  I can honestly say I am so grateful for my entire family! I honestly don't know what I would do without them!

Your Light!

It is such a gorgeous day out side and I am very much enjoying a much needed quiet time with God!
Today I am encouraged to write about being a light to those around you. Whether you are at work, school, store, or even in your house God wants to use you to be a light! To shine for His glory.

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.                                                                                                                                           Matthew 5:16
“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.
                                                                    Matthew  5:14

It is just so awesome that God is calling us to be a light for His glory! We are the light of the world. If we do not shine for the ones around us, how will they see?

One time when I was working at Panera Bread, I was taking a drink break with a fellow employee as we were talking he looked at me and said

"Heather, you make me question my belief because you are always so happy and so full of life, even at work!

To be honest, my mind was blown! I was under the impression that I had to tell someone about the love of God to call it officially witnessing, but I couldn't have been more  wrong!  The Lord has shown me that showing everyone His love is a much better witnessing tool. Because the media and religion are giving the wrong idea about God! And because of that, people kind of stay away from Christianity. Which is sad because they are letting religion get in the way of true freedom in Christ!  Even if the word God is brought up, automatically they want to change the subject.

God has shown me that instead of speaking the Word to them, Show them the Word through your actions and let Him shine through you!

And  When that happens, they begin to wonder "What does this person have that we don't?  And of course my response to that is Jesus!  He has turned my darkness into light, and has lifted every chain off me so I can be free!

So, even if you think you are not making a difference, truth is YOU ARE! When you continue to shine your light for Christ, you are making every difference! You are not only making a difference in yourself, or the others around you but you are making a difference in the whole world! Because whether you see it or not God has used you to place a light in someone's heart and that light will continue to burn brighter.
What a privileged it is to be a light for the Kingdom of God!  To let His Light shine through you! It's such an awesome overwhelming feeling! You don't even want to hide it. You want to share it to the world!

Your light spreads Gods love around you and everyone will see!
Your light shines before men, that they may see your works and glorify your Father!
Your light can do great things.
Your light can inspire.
Your light can reach the lost.
Your light can change lives.
 Your light can love!

Every good and Perfect gift.

I am just so amazed by this little person growing inside me.
Every week I see each beautiful and wonderful new change my little miracle has developed! And I'm just so blessed to have the wonderful opportunity to participate in Gods miracle in creating a new being who is going to be anointed in the serving of the Kingdom of God. I am so blessed that the title "mommy" will finally belong to me. And it excites me to see the joy in Leon's eyes when he knows he's going to be a daddy.

Our baby is a good and perfect gift from God and I love every moment of seeing our little miracle grow!

Baby's progress.
1. How along.
9 weeks!
2. Morning sickness?
Yes, But I'm praying it will leave me alone  soon!
3. New changes this week.
The little eyes can function but they're shut for now,  Their cute external ears are formed and their inner ears are now filled with fluid - which allows my little womb gymnast to begin developing their sense of balance. and they have feet I can't wait to tickle and they have their little hands I can't wait to kiss!
4. Any names picked out yet?
Yep! If  a boy the name will be Leon Parker Riley the 5th and if a girl  Evelynne Lorain Riley.
5. Any cravings?
Chickfila and gummies!  Weird I know.

Do you have any wonderful memories from pregnancy? Or advice you have to give for a new comer of mother hood?
