It was so beautiful outside last weekend. So, We received that blessing on a January day and went for our first family walk. It was so nice. I loved it! And my Mr. Riley actually let me take pictures of him! It's a rarity now a days. I tell you when we were engaged I could take pictures of him all the time and he would willingly let me. I remind him of that often ;) It's too bad too because he's very photogenic!
SEEE!! Here's a picture I got of him on our honeymoon. But anyways, back to our Riley walk. It was wonderful <3 I'm so looking forward to spring so I can take Evie outside more. But another part of me still doesn't want to let go of my Scarf and hoodie weather ;)
I hope you guys had a great week and are having a wonderful Friday and will have a rocking weekend!! Love all <3333 Xoxoxoxoxoxo

Heather you're against gay marriage aren't you?
Are you then in favour of gay couples having all the rights that a married couple gets as long as it's not called marriage, for example, a civil union? Or is there some reason why gay couples in a civil union should be denied some of the privleges married couples get?
Wow.... this is a VERY random comment for this post. Out of curiosity why are you asking me this?
To answer your question yes, I am strongly against homosexuality in general. Now please understand I don't hate the people who are homosexual. I love & care for them just as I do anyone else. I also have friends that are homosexuals. But I am very against homosexuality. Because it is a direct disobedience from God.Leviticus 18:22,
Romans 1:24-27,I Corinthians 6:9-11 and also it's health damaging to them as well.
Now that I think of it, I probably shouldn't have left it as a comment. I'm asking you because reading your post the references to scripture I thought there was a chance you might be opposed to GM (gay marriage not General Motors...) I find it hard to understand why someone would want to deny another couple the chance of a happy marriage.
I can't really explain why I'm opposed to those who are opposed to it, it just feels "instinctive" to me. It's like one group wants to oppress a minority. And why should it just be gay marriage thats banned? I'm straight, so of course it doesn't affect me directly, but what could be next could. There is a really good poem from Nazi Germany by Martin Niemuller:
"First they came for the communists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a communist.
Then they came for the socialists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a socialist.
Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a trade unionist.
Then they came for the jews,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a Jew.
Then they came for the catholics,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a catholic.
Then they came for me,
and there was no one left to speak for me."
That's kind of how I feel. OK I'm not gay so a ban on gay marriage shouldn't put pain to any plans... But could church attendance become compulsory next? We can see what a theocracy looks like, Iran. The Taleban outlawed music in Afghanistan and also banned men from shaving their beard off...
I'd love to hear your thoughts on this Heather...
This is where I stand on the matter..
I would never forsake a homosexual, banish them from church or what not. I would actually welcome a homosexual to my church with open arms because of who they are as people. They need church and most importantly Jesus just as much as I do.
Jesus does not like the lifestyle of homosexuality because He loves and cares to much about the person who struggles with it.
The world has made homosexuality look like a sweet love story that everyone is trying to condemn. When in reality homosexuality is a trap that the Satan uses as a weapon to bondage us.
Back in 07 the majority of suicides were done by homosexuals, homosexuals are most likely to get aids and other deadly diseases. It's a deadly lifestyle.
I know of the matter because when I was single Satan used the same trap on me. I never was a homosexual or anything. But satan has tried to deceive me into thinking I was. It's a trap.
I'm against the lifestyle of homosexuality because it's not only a disobedient lifestyle that God told us not to live but it is also a dangerous lifestyle to live.
The thing is though, I know I didn't choose to be straight and I imagine you didn't either. Even amongst straight people, we all have a "type" I guess. So to me, if someone tells me they are gay/lesbian/bisexual, it's just a fact.
I don't really understand what you would like though. Doesn't everyone have a right to "Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness" why should those who have that attempt to deny it to others?
Wasn't it Paul who said if only get married if you absolutely have to? Jesus never got married. And on Jesus' opposition to homosexuality, there are a few questions that need to be answered. 1)Does that apply just to Christians? 2)If it applies to everyone should we then impose it on others? 3)Gay marriage isn't mentioned in the bible, homosexuality is, so why not BAN homosexuality completely, surely that makes more sense?
It just seems like the antithesis of what the Constitution is all about. And I'm not saying I'm for gay marriage at all there needs to be protection for churches too, so they're not forced to conduct them, but denying gay people rights in a civil partnership, why on earth would someone want that.
Would you prefer an Iranian style system in the US? Supreme Court replaced by religious clerics etc.
Aww So exciting!! When are you due?
Of course you didn't choose to be straight and neither did I. Because that's the way God created us and intended us to live :). For a homo sexual to be a homosexual they would deliberately go against God to love someone of the same sex. But they were born straight. Even though the enemy convinces them otherwise. How I see it. What if a 40 year old man loved a five year old? And wanted to marry her? Would that be wrong? Of course! But some would say that all who thought that was wrong would be denying him "Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness" That's how I see it. And again I LOVE people who are homo sexual. I love them. I just hate the sin.
Come on Heather, the paedophile analogy!? that is so easy to debunk! You don't have a right to do anything that would reasonably infringe on the rights of another. That 5 year old girl has the right to LLPH. There are two scenarios, 1) He wants to marry her, she doesn't want to marry him. This is easy, it's a violation of her rights and he does not have a right to impose marriage on her. 2) They both want to marry each other. This is still not right because we have an age of consent. At 5 years of age we deem that too young to make an informed judgement. It's an unequal contract if you like. However if a 18 year old girl and a 60 year old man wanted to get married, both are making an informed judgement, who are others to stand in their way? So to me if two gay guys or lesbian girls want to get married, they are both of the age of consent and able to make an informed judgement (neither are under duress or mentally incapable) then they are entiled to LLPH. Something interesting to think about is polygamy. Should this be legal, I don't know I'd have to spend a while thinking about it. Interestingly enough, Utah, if I recall, one of the conditions for it to be granted statehood was that it gave up polygamy. I think there still today there are Mormon guys living with a few of their Mormon "wives" but the marriages aren't recognised by the state.
What I meant by that was that the enemy can convince a a man to love a man just as he can convince and deceive a 40 year old to love a 5 year old. And they are both harmful. But anyways I think we both spoke our beliefs out and I'm not one to debate nor is this a political blog. I am against homosexuality. And I will openly admit it and I am not ashamed of it. And again I LOVE people who are homosexuals I have nothing against them. I just hate the sin. I pray you have a blessed day. :)
There was one more thing I had to ask you, the bible speaks of sodomy, not of gay marriage. Why is there a fuss over gay marriage and not sodomy? I just can't understand the rationale for opposing gay marriage but allowing sodomy...
The punishment for sodomy is very clear. If you're not in favour of this punishment for gay people then why not?
I've never thought the bible was some kind of political manifesto. But if you think it is to be imposed on everyone, then do we need sort of a religious police force? As far as I understand it Jesus did not forcibly convert a sole...
